Xytech, the global leader in facility management software, will preview two new, cloud ready additions to the MediaPulse suite at NAB 2011: MediaPulse Encore and MediaPulse Fuse. A natural outgrowth of the MediaPulse mission, these platform extensions are designed to create a completely collaborative environment in which all elements of the digital supply chain can be automated. These new products create a frictionless ecosystem and enable businesses to drive the digital workflow, not be driven by it.

MediaPulse Encore:
By introducing Silverlight and Rich Internet Application services into the realm of resource, work order, and asset management systems, MediaPulse Encore manages facility operations with powerful collaborative tools. The cloud ready, browser-based solution extends MediaPulse by providing a real time operations management system that delivers instant, parameter driven KPIs. Encore puts the comprehensive Xytech feature footprint into the hands of staff and clients alike with granularly secured access. This platform extension delivers immediate information sharing across the media enterprise, creating a completely collaborative environment.

Throughout the digital supply chain, Encore delivers targeted, rules-based efficiencies. Built using industry standards and best practices, this extension is platform independent and is enhanced by the MediaPulse Notification Server, allowing for the configuration and delivery of real time alerts across multiple platforms. Using a Framework and Gadget structure built on top of MediaPulse’s open APIs, Encore can be extended by Xytech to fit any need. Additionally, the toolset is available to third party developers. With Encore Gadgets, targeted solutions can be crafted for specific user communities via management dashboards, operations screens, or branded client kiosks. With Encore, Xytech puts into place highly collaborative technologies that make it easier to drive today’s businesses.

MediaPulse Fuse:
MediaPulse Fuse is the answer to reactive, stand alone facility management solutions. Connecting disparate systems in the media enterprise ecosystem and uniting them for the very first time, Fuse is a flexible and robust platform extension that actively initiates orders, activities, and content movement or passively tracks digital content and creates orders from the actions of other systems. In both instances, Fuse provides the necessary information to invoice and account for services quickly and accurately, while providing the resource management and usage metadata necessary to succeed in today’s ad hoc environment.

Fuse offers a unique ability to interface with other systems over the cloud, allowing clients to cover the entire spectrum of system interfaces in a highly scalable manner. Fuse Functions, such as Digital Order, Service Engine and Notification Server, allow the management of both manual and automated processes in a state-of-the-art fashion. With its speed of integration and implementation, Fuse puts users back in the driver’s seats of their businesses.

Greg Dolan, Executive Vice President of Xytech, stated, “Broadcasters, studios, media services companies and transmission providers are experiencing constant change in the ways that they are expected to manage their businesses. Staff, resources, and assets are repurposed at a moment’s notice, and workflows must be dynamic to meet the day to day needs of the ‘new normal’. It’s the advent of the ad hoc facility, and success is now determined by those who meet this challenge.”

Dolan continued, “We see this as an opportunity to partner more deeply with our clients. We created MediaPulse to be an evolving, future-engineered platform, and with the introduction of Encore and Fuse, we have leveraged MediaPulse’s unparalleled flexibility. Because today… flexibility wins the race.”
